Take I-94 to exit 16, the Bridgman Michigan Exit.
Go 2 miles South(away from town) on Red Arrow Hwy to the park entrance, which will be on your right hand side.

Dunes towering up to 240 feet above Lake Michigan

Warren Dunes State Park is a 1,952 acres and located along the shores of Lake Michigan in Berrien County, Michigan. This park has sand beaches that make it one of the most popular of Michigan’s state parks with an average of one million visitors almost every year.

Large sand dunes are found all over this park. Some of the park's dunes include Mt. Fuller, Pikes Peak, and Mt. Edwards, while the best known is Tower Hill, the highest point in the park, standing 240 feet above Lake Michigan. Tower Hill offer beautiful views of Lake Michigan from a bird’s eye perspective. Tower Hill is beside the beach parking lot, this dune is the most visible to visitors, many of whom enjoy climbing up its slopes and running back down again. This hill also offers incredible sledding in the winter.

The area was preserved by a local businessman, Edward K. Warren, who purchased the area, with the sole intention of preserving this beautiful piece of land. In 1930, the land was designated as a Michigan state park.

Hiking - Take a walk on the Warren Dunes Nature Trail. Or hike from the beach of Lake Michigan to the shady canopy of the forest.
Biking - Take the glorious 35 mile trail that goes all around Warren Dunes and see the wonderful sites they have to offer.
Hunting - So you love hunting? well hunting small game is permitted north of the hiking trails another great reason to visit Warren Dunes.
Winter - Cross-country skiing, sledding, and tobogganing, who needs sand when theres snow!
Bird Watching - What could be more beautiful than watch the beautiful birds sail across the sky on a lovely morning.
Wind Surfing - Cruise on down the lake shore while the wind blows against your face.
Swimming - Of course now that you have come to Warren Dunes you have to go for a swim in the beautiful Lake Michigan.
Metal Detecting - Metal detecting is recognized as a legitimate recreation activity when it is conducted in ways that do not damage the natural and cultural resources in Michigan State Parks nor violate applicable state statutes. If you wish to use a metal detector in this state park, ask for a map that shows clearly where this activity may take place. Any items found must be reviewed by park staff and may be retained for further investigation.
Picnics - Picnic tables and fire pits along with a picnic shelter all available on a first come first serve basis, contact the park for reservation.
Play Grounds - Play ground equipment available for children.
Beach House - Restrooms and clothes changing area available.
Concessions - Drinks, Food, and Supplies provided.
Park Interpreters - Take a guided nature tour with a state park ranger.
Fishing - Designated Fishing Areas provided (Fishing licence required).
